    Coding:

    The PCHS Technology Students Association site was hand coded using Microsoft Expressions Web 2, Crimson Editor, Notepad, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. This site mainly uses XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and some PHP.

    Images and Graphics:

    The photos and graphics in this website were used by permission of Polk County High School and our TSA chapter. The photos were resized and optimized using Adobe Fireworks CS4 and Adobe Photoshop CS4.

    The TSA Logo is a registered trademark and was used according to copyright guidelines.

    Flash Videos:

    The flash videos were created using Adobe Premier CS4, along with the video production class at Polk County High School.

    The animated graphic on the home page was created using Adobe Flash CS3.

    Photo Gallery:

    The TiltViewer photo gallery is a free open-source, customizable 3D Flash Image application created by Airtight Interactive Inc.

    Contact Form:

    The PHP for our contact form was created using ContactForm Generator, a free online open-source software.

    Google Search Bar:

    The code for the Google Search Bar was used with permission from Google.

    Sitemap:

    The site map we used was created using Google Sitemap, a free online service provided by Google.

    Spry Assets:

    Our Menu Bar, Accordion Events Calendar, and Tabbed Panels were created using the spry assets of Adobe Dreamweaver CS4.

Development Information

  • First-Research:

    We began with research, the most important part. We researched websites about TSA, high schools, club websites, and many more. We put all of information together so we could focus on building the website.

    Second- Planning:

    We drew up our blueprints on paper. This took a while, but we finally came to an agreement on what our site should look like. We drew these blueprints to keep our website consistent.

    Third- Building:

    The building process. Building a website is kind of like building a house. We used Microsoft Expressions Web 2 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 for the main building part of our website. For images and graphics we used Adobe Fireworks CS4 and Adobe Photoshop CS4. For other copyright information on everything else we used, go to our copyright tab.

    Fourth-Finalizing and Proofing:

    We have spent several hours testing our website to make sure everything was in place and in working order. The site was tested in a wide variety of browsers, including:
